U.S. Representatives Chuck Fleischmann and Marc Veasey have announced the formation of a new bipartisan caucus focused on American energy production. The American Energy Dominance Caucus aims to enhance awareness of all forms of domestic energy and unite various stakeholders, including Congress members, the private sector, and public sector entities, to boost domestic energy production and increase U.S. energy independence.
Representative Chuck Fleischmann stated, "I am excited to announce the creation of the new American Energy Dominance Caucus that I will Co-Chair alongside Rep. Marc Veasey." He emphasized the importance of increasing American-made energy production in light of rising electricity demand projected to grow by 13-15 percent annually through 2030. Fleischmann added that an "all-of-the-above" energy policy is essential for job creation, economic growth, and securing energy independence.
Congressman Marc Veasey highlighted the significance of this initiative: "The American Energy Dominance Caucus represents a crucial step forward in securing our nation's future—economically, energetically, and strategically." He noted that in 2023 alone, the U.S. imported energy from 86 countries daily. Veasey underscored that America's energy security is not partisan but requires cooperation across political lines.
The caucus includes several bipartisan members such as Reps. Troy Carter (LA-02), Luis Correa (CA-36), Henry Cuellar (TX-28), Byron Donalds (FL-19), Mike Kennedy (UT-03), Bob Latta (OH-05), Donald Norcross (NJ-01), Hillary Scholten (MI-03), Mike Simpson (ID-02), and Joe Wilson (SC-02).
