Collegedale Police Department The Weekend Highlights Friday, August 19, 2022

A concerned citizen reported that a parked vehicle door was open in a West District plaza. Officers checked the vehicle for signs of a forced entry and theft. The owner was located in one of the businesses in the plaza and advised that they had mistakenly left the door open. All was ok. 

Officers checked the well-being of an individual in the East District. 

A vehicle crash was reported in the 4900 block of Ooltewah Ringgold Road after a truck struck a deer. 

Police got out with two suspicious vehicles parked outside of a closed East District business. The occupants were identified and left the area. 

A traffic stop in the 9400 block of Apison Pike led to the driver being charged with driving without a license. 

A traffic stop in the 9100 block of Apison Pike for a light law violation resulted in the driver’s arrest for driving on a license that had been revoked for DUI. 

A concerned citizen requested officers to check out an individual walking through a West District apartment complex parking lot. Everything checked out ok.

A traffic stop in the 9200 block of Lee Highway led to the driver being charged with driving on a revoked license. 

A Collegedale fugitive was booked on their warrants. 

Officers responded to a domestic disorder between a child and their parents in the East District. 

An SUV struck a parked car in the City Hall parking lot. 

Officers were called to the Walmart parking lot for a dog in a parked car. Everything checked out ok. The animal wasn’t in any danger. 

Police responded to a domestic disorder between two parents in the South District. 

Officers responded to the Duck Pond in reference to two parties having sex in the woods. Upon their arrival contact was made with two juveniles, who were taken into custody and transported to the police department to await their parents.   

A business alarm was activated in the South District. Everything checked out ok. 

Police assisted a broken down motorist in the 9400 block of Apison Pike. The vehicle was pushed out of the roadway. 

Police received reports that a transformer had been struck by lightning and was on fire in the area of the 4500 block of University Drive. An officer checked the area but no fire was found. 

The fire department responded to an East District home after lightning had struck the home, causing smoke. 

A motorist drove through a large puddle of water during the storms and flooded their vehicle in the 10900 block of Apison Pike. An officer was able to push the car out of the roadway. 

The fire department responded to a West District business for a fire alarm. Everything checked out ok. 

The fire department responded to a West District apartment complex for a fire alarm. Everything checked out ok. 

A traffic stop in the 5900 block of Reagan Lane led to the driver’s arrest for possession of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia, and driving on a license revoked for DUI. 

Police were called to a West District apartment complex for people being too loud in the pool area at night. No one was there when officers arrived. 

A traffic stop in the 9300 block of Lee Highway led the an occupant being charged with being in possession of illegal narcotics. 

Officers responded to an alarm at a West District business. Everything checked out ok.

A Collegedale fugitive was booked on their warrants. 

The fire department responded to a fire alarm at a West District day care. It was a false alarm. 

Collegedale police were requested to assist Chattanooga police by responding to a business alarm at Cambridge Square. Officers located an open door and checked the building. After finding no signs of foul play a key holder was called to secure the business.  

A traffic stop in the 8800 block of Old Lee Highway led to the driver being charged with driving on a suspended license. 

Officers responded to a vehicle crash in the 10000 block of Standifer Gap Road. There were no injuries reported. 

A traffic stop for speeding in the 5300 block of Little Debbie Parkway resulted in the driver being charged with driving without a license.
