Collegedale Police Department The Daily Highlight Report Thursday, August 4, 2022

Officers investigating a suspicious vehicle in the West District discovered the occupant to be a private investigator investigating a workman’s compensation case. 

An officer spoke with a West District resident about a noise complaint involving a juvenile riding a four wheeler. 

A traffic stop in the 9200 block of Lee Highway led to the driver being charged with driving on a suspended license. 

Police responded to a CPR in progress in the West District.

Collegedale police assisted a Colorado sheriff’s office by checking on two individuals in the West District who were part of a child abuse case their office was investigating. Everything checked out ok. 

Police made contact with an individual in the 4600 block of Ooltewah Ringgold who appeared to be in a state of distress. The individual refused any help. 

Officers were called to a West District business after an employee called about a customer who was making them nervous. The customer was gone prior to the officer’s arrival. 

Police responded to an alarm activation at a West District apartment complex office. Everything checked out ok. 

Officers were called to a West District business’s parking lot about an elderly motorist wishing to sleep in their vehicle for the night in a well lit area. Officers offered assistance with getting a hotel room but the motorist refused. The property owner gave their permission for the motorist to sleep in their lot for the night. 

Police were requested to check the well being of a traveler that was believed to be staying at a West District hotel. Officers checked the hotel but the traveler was not there. 

A traffic stop in the 10000 block of Lee Highway led to the driver’s arrest for DUI. 

Collegedale police were requested by Chattanooga police to  respond to an incident near the I-75 Exit 9 on-ramp where a construction worker had been struck by a suspected drunk driver. Collegedale police responded to the incident, detained the suspect, and turned the scene over to Chattanooga police upon their arrival. 

A single vehicle crash involving a deer in the 9900 block of Apison Pike was reported.
