Collegedale Police Department Weekend Highlights Friday May 13th, 2022

Police assisted with traffic control around a malfunctioning railroad crossing in the 10000 block of Apison Pike. 

A report was taken regarding comments made by a former disgruntled employee in the West District. 

An individual that had been banned from a West District apartment complex was arrested for trespassing on that property. 

A Collegedale fugitive was booked on their warrants. 

A traffic stop in the 9800 block of Apison Pike led to the driver being charged with driving on a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia. The passenger was also charged with being in possession of illegal narcotics.  

A traffic stop in the 5900 block of Reagan Lane led to the driver’s arrest for DUI. 

Police were called to the Springhill Suites for a group being loud and disturbing other guests. The group agreed to go inside and quiet down for the night. 

A single vehicle crash in the 10300 block of Lee Highway was reported after a vehicle struck a deer. 

Saturday, May 14th, 2022

Walmart management filed a report after terminating an employee for theft. 

Officers responded to a mental health call in the East District. 

The other vehicle reported stolen from the Barnsley Park subdivision this past Tuesday was recovered in Chattanooga. 

A traffic stop in the 5500 block of Little Debbie parkway led to the driver being charged with driving on a revoked license. 

Officers responded to a domestic disorder in the East District. The disorder was just a verbal argument only. 

An individual was found unresponsive lying on the side of the road in the 5400 block of Little Debbie Parkway. The individual had trauma to their face and was transported to the ER by EMS. 

Police responded to a single vehicle crash in the 10000 block of Standifer Gap Road. The vehicle was on its top and the driver had a suspended license. No injuries were noted and the driver was cited for the license. 

Two Collegedale fugitives were booked on their warrants. 

Officers responded to a mental health call for service at a West District apartment complex. 

Residents in a West District apartment complex reported a group of teenagers going door to door ringing door bells and running away. The children could not be located when officers drove through the area. 

Collegedale officers were involved in a pursuit that started in the 9300 block of Lee Highway and continued into Bradley County. The officers ended up disengaging from the pursuit for safety reasons.  

A traffic stop in the 5500 block of Little Debbie Parkway led to the driver’s arrest for DUI. 

Sunday, May 15th, 2022

A traffic stop in the 9100 block of Apison Pike led to the driver being charged with driving on a suspended license. 

A traffic stop in the 9400 block of Apison Pike led to the identification of a fugitive from Georgia. The occupant was arrested and transported to the jail to await extradition. 

A neighbor in the Wellesley subdivision complained that another neighbor was working in their own yard wearing just their underwear. 

Officers were dispatched to a fight in the middle of the roadway inside the Robinson Farm subdivision. The assailant had already left the scene, crashing their car into a parked vehicle on the way out. The suspect drove back to the scene, while police were still there, and was heavily intoxicated. The individual was arrested for DUI, domestic assault, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. 

An East District resident reported that their tool box and mail had been stolen from their home while they had been out of town.
