Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, representing Tennessee's 3rd district and serving as Chairman of Energy and Water Appropriations, has issued a statement regarding the House's approval of H.R. 10545, known as the American Relief Act of 2025.

Fleischmann emphasized the importance of a functional government for both Tennesseans and Americans at large. He stated, "Tennesseans and Americans deserve a government that functions properly and is open. Democracy and representative government can be messy at times, but when we debate and air our differences openly and honestly, the end result is always the best for the American People."

The Congressman highlighted his involvement in negotiations aimed at maintaining government operations while providing essential support to farmers and those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton in Tennessee. Fleischmann expressed satisfaction with the bill's passage in the House, describing it as "a reasonable, responsible bill that delivers for the American People." He urged the Senate to act similarly by passing the legislation.
