Police were dispatched to respond to a disorder involving a weapon in the 9400 block of Apison Pike, receiving reports that an individual was loading a rifle on the side of the road. When officers arrived on scene they found that it was simply a juvenile walking home carrying a BB gun. The child was given a ride to their home and turned over to their parent.
Collegedale police were alerted to a stolen vehicle entering the city on Lee Highway from Bradley County. The vehicle was located at the Tiger Mart gas station in the 5000 block of Hunter Road and the driver taken safely into custody. The driver was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of methamphetamines and heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a revoked license. The driver was also found to have arrest warrants out of Collegedale, Red Bank, and Catoosa County, Georgia.
Officers made contact with a suspicious vehicle parked on the lot of the former bank in the 5900 block of Reagan Lane. The occupant advised that they were homeless and out of work.
