Collegedale Police Department The Weekend Highlights Friday, October 14, 2022

Chattanooga police made contact with a Collegedale fugitive in their jurisdiction. The individual was booked on the following charges: felony theft and criminal conspiracy. 

A rear end collision was reported in the Walmart parking lot. 

Southern Adventist University’s Campus Safety department reported a theft of university property after discovering that a truck they had placed a parking boot on several days prior was gone, along with the university’s parking boot. 

A local bonding company made contact with a Collegedale fugitive and transported them to the Collegedale PD where the individual was booked on the following charges: failure to appear, resisting arrest, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The individual was then transported to the county jail for several other Hamilton County warrants. 

A minor parking lot crash was reported in the Walmart parking lot. 

Collegedale police assisted the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office with a possible fight in progress in the Ooltewah Georgetown Road area among five to six individuals along with an active vehicle fire. Upon arrival officers made contact with an individual who was actively doing CPR on an unconscious person. Collegedale police helped deputies secure the scene for EMS and Fire, and then returned to service.

A West District resident requested police to escort them to their apartment after receiving threats from someone else. There were no issues during the escort. 

Police responded to a noise complaint of a loud party at a West District apartment complex. Contact was made with the responsible individuals who agreed to end the party for the night. 

Officers received reports of an intoxicated individual at an East District seasonal entertainment business. The property owner requested that the individual be removed from the property and they left without issue. 

Saturday, October 15, 2022

Police and fire were dispatched to the 3500 block of Camp Road to check for electrical wires that were down and smoking. Nothing was located. 

Officers were dispatched to the Walmart after receiving reports of an individual asking for rides and sexual favors. The individual could not be located. 

A traffic stop in the 9200 block of Lee Highway led to the driver’s arrest for DUI, possession of methamphetamines and other illegal narcotics and paraphernalia, and refusal of implied consent. A passenger was also arrested for Collegedale warrants after failing to pay court fines resulting from a drug possession charge they had previously been arrested for.  

An East District resident reported that they were being bullied over an internet gaming app.

A minor crash between an RV and a small sedan was reported from the parking lot of a West District gas station. 

Officers were flagged down at an East District seasonal entertainment business to investigate two possibly intoxicated individuals. One individual was allowed to call for a ride and the other did not appear to be intoxicated. 

A traffic stop in the 8200 block of Apison Pike resulted in the occupant being charged with being in possession of illegal narcotics.

Officers responded to a domestic disorder in the Integra Hills apartment complex. It was a verbal disorder only. 

A Collegedale fugitive was arrested at the Walmart and booked on their warrant for Violation of Order of Protection. 

A traffic stop in the 8900 block of Apison Pike for speeding resulted in the driver and passenger’s arrest for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, and falsification of a drug test.
