Collegedale Police Department The Daily Highlight Report Monday, June 20th, 2022

A West District resident reported that their handgun had come up missing during a recent move into the area. 

A South District resident reported on-going harassment via text messaging. 

An East District business alarm was activated. Everything checked out ok. 

A South District resident reported that they had sent compromising photos to someone over Snapchat who, not only turned out to be someone else entirely, but who was also now threatening to release those photos if they didn’t receive payment of some kind. 

A minor rear end crash was reported in the 5500 block of Little Debbie Parkway. 

A Collegedale fugitive was booked on their warrants. 

An individual reported that their vehicle had been damaged while shopping at the Aldi’s grocery store. 

EMS transported a sick infant from a West District clinic to the hospital. 

An officer assisted a stranded motorist by jump starting their vehicle at a West District gas station. 

Walmart reported a theft.

The fire department responded to reports of smoke coming from the 8800 block of Old Lee Highway, near the Cracker Barrel. Everything checked out ok when it was found to be a controlled burn. 

Officers attempted to help an individual who’s car had been towed by the Integra Hills apartment complex, but the tow company could not be reached. 

EMS transported a sick elderly resident from their East District home to the hospital. 

An resident of the Integra Hills apartment complex reported that their vehicle had been stolen while they had been out of town, however it was found to have been towed by the apartment management. 

While doing a business check at the Springhill Suites on Old Lee Highway officers observed a Dodge Charger with an altered drive out tag leaving the lot. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was arrested when the car was confirmed as stolen. 

Officers worked a rear end collision at the intersection of Little Debbie Parkway and Lee Highway. Minor injuries were reported, but EMS was refused by the driver.
