U.S. Representative Chuck Fleischmann has been selected to serve a second consecutive term as Chairman of Energy and Water Appropriations. Fleischmann expressed his gratitude, stating, "I am honored and humbled to be selected by my colleagues to serve a second consecutive term as Chairman of Energy and Water Appropriations."

Fleischmann emphasized the importance of investments in water infrastructure and nuclear energy. He stated, "We are at a critical moment in American history where we must continue to make investments in our nation’s water infrastructure systems and seize the moment to expand civil nuclear energy nationwide, invest in new nuclear technologies, revitalize our defense industrial base after decades of decline, and unleash all forms of American-made energy to make our country energy independent again so that we strengthen our economy, and lower prices for families and workers."

Looking ahead, Fleischmann aims to build on previous accomplishments. "In my second term as Energy and Water Appropriations Chairman, I plan on building on the historic work my colleagues and I accomplished to invest in America’s waterways infrastructure," he said. He also plans to work closely with President Trump's administration and Senate colleagues.

House Committee on Appropriations Chairman Tom Cole praised Fleischmann's contributions during his first term. Cole remarked, "Over the past two years during his first term, Chairman Fleischmann has been instrumental in expanding and investing in nuclear power and new nuclear technologies." Cole looks forward to continued collaboration with Fleischmann.

Fleischmann also holds positions as Co-Chairman for several energy-related Congressional Caucuses including the American Energy Dominance Caucus, Nuclear Cleanup Caucus, Tennessee Valley Corridor Caucus, Fusion Energy Caucus, National Labs Caucus, Advanced Nuclear Caucus, Nuclear Security Working Group, and Spent Nuclear Fuel Solutions Caucus.
