Congressman Chuck Fleischmann of Tennessee's Third Congressional District has been sworn in to serve in the 119th Congress. As Chairman of Energy and Water Appropriations, Fleischmann expressed his commitment to advancing President Trump's agenda.
In a statement following his swearing-in, Fleischmann said, "I am honored and humbled to serve my fellow Tennesseans in the 119th Congress. We have a lot of work to do to pass President Trump’s America First agenda to secure our borders, fix our economy, rebuild our military, and restore American leadership across the world so we can make America Great Again."
Fleischmann emphasized his dedication as Tennessee’s Appropriator: "I vow to work hard with President Trump and my colleagues in the House and Senate to deliver for Tennesseans in the Third Congressional District and across our entire great state."
He also highlighted the mandate given by the American people: "The American People have given President Trump and Conservatives in Congress a mandate to fix the failures of the last four years, and we must deliver for our nation. I am ready to get to work!"
