4.6% of citizens unemployed in Hamilton County in 2021

Hamilton County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 8,658 people out of the 363,790 living in Hamilton County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Hamilton County has increased compared to the 4.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Hamilton County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 178,947 people who had a job during that time, 161 were employed in the Armed Forces and 178,786 belonged to the civilian labor force.
