A business alarm was activated in the 9000 block of Old Lee Highway. Nothing was located and the building was found secure.
A traffic stop in the 8600 block of Apison Pike for speeding resulted in the driver being charged with driving on a suspended license.
A traffic stop in the 5600 block of Little Debbie Parkway resulted in the driver being charged with driving on a revoked license, as well as DUI after it was learned that the driver had smoked marijuana before driving.
A citizen came by the police station to get information on their homeless sibling who had been involved in an accident somewhere in the area. Officers assisted them where they could and directed them to contact the sheriff’s office for further information.
A two vehicle crash with injuries was reported at the intersection of Little Debbie Parkway and Old Lee Highway. One driver was transported to the hospital.
A Collegedale fugitive turned themself in to be booked on a failure to appear warrant for original traffic charges.
An individual requested officers to stand by while they attempted to make contact with their teenage child who had been staying with relatives in the 9800 block of Moore Road and had refused to come home. No one was found at the house.
Walmart employees reported a theft.
Police responded to a call involving an ex-spouse who was believed to have violated an order of protection in the 5500 block of Misty Valley Drive. During the investigation it was discovered that there was no active protective order for the suspect or victim. Police completed an information report for the reporting party and returned to service.
A vehicle struck a deer in the 4500 block of Ooltewah Ringgold Road.
Police were called to a home in the 5700 block of Tallant Road in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival an investigation was conducted and it was determined highly unlikely that a burglary had taken place. Instead the reporting party was found to be suffering from an alleged narcotic induced paranoia. The resident, who had arrived on scene after the officers, was charged with filing false reports and DUI.
Police responded to the 5300 block of Spalding Drive after receiving reports of a semi-truck that had become stuck in a driveway. The trucking company sent a tow truck to correct the situation.
Chattanooga police made contact with a Collegedale fugitive who had a petition to revoke bond warrant from an original shoplifting charge. They transported the fugitive to the jail.
