Officer Naaman Mowery has been awarded Tennessee’s Cumberland Region DUI Officer of the Year by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.
Mowery started with the Collegedale Police Department in September of 2021 and since that time he has continued to work at keeping our roads safe from intoxicated drivers. Since the beginning of the year Officer Mowery has made 22 DUI arrests.
The Cumberland Regions of the Tennessee Highway Safety Office spans the Upper Cumberland to Southern Middle areas of the state. It is made of 27 sheriff’s offices and 58 police departments. The Cumberland Regions has been recognized several times by the International Association of Chief’s of Police as having the best multi-jurisdictional law enforcement program in the nation.
“Last year Hamilton County was in the top 10 of most DUI arrests in the state,” said Chief Jack Sapp “and I am extremely proud of Officer Mowery’s drive to carry on that commitment to keep intoxicated drivers off our roadways.”
