Collegedale Police Department The Daily Highlight Report Tuesday, November 8, 2022

Day shift officers made contact with an individual who had been noticed sitting in the Crossroads Plaza parking lot for several days. The individual advised that they had been waiting for their car to be fixed and would be on their way. 

A property damage report involving two vehicles was filed at the Eastwood Baptist Church after an individual had opened their car door just as another vehicle had been pulling into an adjacent parking space. 

An officer was dispatched to the 8800 block of Apison Pike to find an injured or deceased deer. The animal was found on the side of the road dead. Public Works was called to remove the body. 

An officer responded to the Regions Bank on Little Debbie Parkway to file a theft report for an individual who had discovered that there had been several fraudulent withdrawals from their bank account.  

Three individuals reported that they had lost their passports on the campus of Southern Adventist University. 

A property damage report was filed from the campus of Southern Adventist University after nuts had fallen from a tree, damaging the hood of a vehicle. 

An officer was dispatched to speak with an individual about harassment at a West District apartment complex. The individual, a former employee of a West District restaurant, wished to report that they had quit their job after their former boss had continued to ask them out for drinks. 

A traffic stop in the 5800 block of Main Street for a registration violation resulted in the driver being charged with being in possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was also found to have a Collegedale warrant for failing to appear on another failure to appear warrant stemming from a registration violation. 

A sheriff’s deputy made contact with a Collegedale fugitive during a traffic stop in the 8200 block of Old Lee Highway. The fugitive was arrested and booked on warrants for a bond revocation warrant on a failure to appear arrest for driving on a revoked license and possession of drug paraphernalia charges. 

Police responded to a crash involving injuries in the 9300 block of Apison Pike after a vehicle leaving the Circle K parking lot had been struck by another vehicle. 

An identity theft report was taken from a resident of the Robinson Farm neighborhood after they had discovered that their social security number had been used to open a cable subscription in Arkansas. 

Officers responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Tallant Road and Apison Pike. There were no injuries. 

An officer responded to another crash in the 9800 block of Apison Pike after a vehicle struck a deer. There were no injuries reported… except for the deer.
