Collegedale Police Department The Daily Highlight Report Tuesday, October 11, 2022

A South District parent reported that their teenage child had not been home since the night before. The child was located at another residence down the road, where they had stayed after using drugs with friends. The friends had left when officers arrived but returned later to retrieve another vehicle. One of those individuals was found in possession of illegal narcotics and contributing to the delinquency of a minor and arrested. The other was arrested for DUI. 

Walmart reported a couple of thefts. 

Officers responded to a crash with injuries at the intersection of Apison Pike and Swinyar Drive after one of the vehicles failed to stop for the red light. 

A theft was reported from an East District home. 

A residential alarm was activated in the East District. It was accidental. 

A traffic stop in the 10400 block of Lee Highway for a broken tail light resulted in the driver being charged with driving on a revoked license. 

Police responded to a mental health crisis in a West District apartment complex. An individual was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
