Collegedale Police Department The Weekend Highlights Friday, September 2, 2022

A traffic stop in the 9200 block of Lee Highway led to the driver’s arrest for driving on a suspended license and for an arrest warrant out of Hamilton County for the same thing. 

A traffic stop in the 5900 block of Reagan Lane was made after the vehicle’s license plate came back showing the car as stolen. Everything turned out to be ok after the registered owner was found behind the wheel. It was also found that the jurisdiction that recovered the vehicle had not removed it from the database as stolen. 

An employee from a West District business called in a domestic disorder between themselves and a former partner that had come into the store. Officers arrived and soon discovered that the the former partner had an East Ridge warrant for domestic assault involving the individual who had called. East Ridge police arrived on scene and took them into custody for transport to Silverdale. 

Officers were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle that was in a West District business parking lot. The vehicle was found to have broken down. 

Police responded to a disorder between a customer and manager at a West District restaurant. 

A traffic stop in the 5900 block of Main Street resulted in the driver receiving citations for being in possession of drug paraphernalia and for putting another car’s  license plate on their vehicle. 

While conducting routine business checks a door was found open at a West District school. The building was checked and someone was called to lock the door and reset the alarm. 

Saturday, September 3, 2022

Police were called to the Walmart parking lot for a dog left inside a vehicle. The vehicle was secured and the engine running. The dog was in good health. 

A traffic stop in the 9400 block of Apison Pike resulted in the driver’s arrest for DUI. 

A traffic stop in the 9100 block of Lee Highway led to the driver’s arrest for being in possession of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia. They were also charged with driving on a revoked license. 

The fire department responded to a fire alarm at a West District restaurant. Everything checked out ok. It was a false alarm. 

Officers responded to the 5500 block of Little Debbie Parkway after receiving reports that an individual was walking into traffic. The area was checked but no sign of the individual was found.

A traffic stop in the 8700 block of Apison Pike resulted in the driver’s arrest for driving on a suspended license. 

A traffic stop in the 9400 block of Apison Pike led to the driver’s arrest for driving without a license. 

A traffic stop in the 9400 block of Lee Highway led to an occupant being charged with being in possession of drug paraphernalia. 

A traffic stop in the 8600 block of Apison Pike led to the driver being charged with driving on a suspended license. 

A traffic stop in the 10400 block of Lee Highway led to the driver’s arrest for DUI and for being in possession of a handgun while under the influence.
