Collegedale Police Department The Daily Highlight Report Thursday, August 25, 2022

An individual at a West District business called police to report their car stolen. Further investigation on the scene revealed that their car had not been stolen but that it had been towed from the lot.

Two Collegedale fugitives were booked on their warrants.

A traffic stop in the 4800 block of University Drive resulted in the driver’s arrest for DUI, 2nd offense. The driver was also charged with driving on a revoked license and violation of the implied consent law.

A burglar alarm was activated at a West District home. It was accidental. Everything checked out ok.

Officers responded to the campus of Southern Adventist University to escort an individual off of their property at their request.

Officers were requested to stand by at the Ooltewah Middle School’s football field due to the referees having to eject a few players from the game for fighting. Officers stood by as requested but there were no issues.

While checking the area around Walmart during the night officers noticed an occupied vehicle that had been parked in the side parking lot for an extended period of time with their lights off. Consensual contact was made with the occupants, who were sitting in the back seat. They advised that they were just talking and watching videos.

A traffic stop in the 9300 block of Lee Highway led to the driver being charged with driving on a suspended license.
