A single vehicle crash was reported in the 4200 block of Ooltewah Ringgold Road after a vehicle’s tire went flat, causing the car to collide with a road sign. 

A theft report was filed from a West District bank. 

Two Collegedale fugitives were booked on their warrants. 

Police were called to assist with an individual struggling with mental health at a West District apartment complex.

A parking lot crash was reported at a West District restaurant. 

Another parking lot crash was reported in the West District.  

A traffic stop in the 9200 block of Lee Highway led to the driver being charged with being in possession of illegal drug paraphernalia. 

A traffic stop in the 8200 block of Apison Pike led to the driver being charged with possession of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. 

A vehicle was stopped in the 5500 block of Little Debbie Parkway and the driver was arrested for DUI. 

While conducting neighborhood patrols in the East District, police located a back hatch open on a parked car. Contact was made with the thankful homeowner, who advised that they had forgotten to close it. The vehicle was secured.

A two car crash was reported in the 9000 block of Old Lee Highway.

Walmart reported a theft. 

A traffic stop in the 9500 block of Apison Pike led to the driver being charged with driving on a suspended license. 

Police were called for a noise complaint involving fireworks in an East District neighborhood. The individuals making the noise agreed to stop. 

Police were called again for a noise complaint involving fireworks in an another East District neighborhood. The individuals making the noise agreed to stop. 

A traffic stop in the 8200 block of Apison Pike led to the driver being charged with driving without a license.  

Police were called for a noise complaint at a West District apartment complex, involving people at the pool. The individuals making the noise agreed to stop. 

Police responded to the campus of Southern Adventist University after receiving reports that an individual had been struck by a car and was laying in the road. Officers arrived and spoke with the individual who stated that they were getting out of a car when the tire had rubbed their ankle, causing a minor scratch. They refused EMS. 

Sunday, July 24, 2022

A theft of a gaming console was reported from an East District home. 

Police were dispatched to assist an individual having a mental health crisis in the West District. 

A West District apartment resident reported that their neighbor’s front door had been open for two or three days and they had not seen their neighbor. Officers checked the apartment and found it empty. 

Police responded to a mental health situation in the South District. 

A traffic stop in the 10000 block of Lee Highway led to the driver’s arrest for DUI. 

A Collegedale fugitive was booked on their warrants. 

Officers investigated a vehicle parked at a closed West District business. The driver, who appeared to be sleeping, had stopped while traveling to sleep for a little bit. 

An elderly East District resident was found deceased in their home. Foul play is not suspected. 

Collegedale police were requested to assist the sheriff’s office with a disorder outside the city’s East District.
