Collegedale Police Department The Daily Highlight Report Tuesday, July 12th, 2022

Police were called to the Walmart parking lot for a property damage report involving an alleged slashed tire and a large dent in an adjacently parked vehicle. After reviewing surveillance footage it was determined that the tire was over inflated and had exploded, causing damage to the adjacently parked vehicle.

A hit and run crash was reported from the parking lot of a West District gas station. 

Officers were dispatched to a holdup alarm at the Verizon store.

A Collegedale fugitive was booked on their warrants. 

Police were requested to check the 10000 block of Apison Pike for metal that had been spilled across the roadway. The metal had been removed prior to the officer’s arrival. 

An individual begging for money was asked to leave on behalf of the property owner on the 5500 block of Little Debbie Parkway. 

EMS transported an individual complaining of heat exhaustion from a West District gas station to the hospital. 

Officers responded to a residential alarm in the West District. The resident advised that the activation had been accidental. 

Police were called to the Dollar General on Main Street after a needle and syringe had allegedly been located near the dumpster. The reporting person was concerned because they advised that they had seen children playing in that area. The area was searched but the needle and syringe was not located.

Walmart reported a theft. 

Collegedale Police responded to a Summit residence, just outside the city’s West District, at the request of the Chattanooga Police Department for an active disorder involving a weapon. Collegedale officers secured the scene and turned it over to Chattanooga Police Department upon their arrival.
