Collegedale Police Department The Daily Highlight Report Monday, July 4th, 2022

A traffic stop in the 10600 block of Lee Highway resulted in the driver being charged with driving on a suspended license. 

An elderly patient at a local nursing home was treated by EMS for difficulty breathing. 

While on scene for a disorder prevention at a Pine Hill Road address, in the city’s East District, officers learned that a wanted individual had slipped out the back door of the trailer and into the woods.  A search of the area by Collegedale police and the sheriff’s office was unsuccessful. 

A resident of the Downing Green neighborhood, in the West District, called in and stated that residents were shooting off fireworks against HOA rules. Officers checked the area to make sure everyone was being safe. No law enforcement action taken.

Police were dispatched to a West District business alarm. Everything checked out ok. 

A traffic stop in the Raceway gas station led to the driver’s arrest for felony possession of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia. 

A resident of the Misty Valley neighborhood, in the city’s East District, called in and stated that neighbors were shooting off fireworks. Police made contact with the individuals shooting the fireworks off and advised them of the city ordinance. They agreed to call it a night.

The fire department responded to a dumpster fire at the College Park apartments. 

Officers got out with a stranded motorist in the 9900 block of Lee Highway who had a coolant leak. 

A traffic stop in the 9100 block of Integra Hills Lane led to the driver’s arrest for felony possession of narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. 

Police and EMS responded to a mental health crisis in the Integra Hills apartment complex. The individual was transported to the hospital for treatment.
