Collegedale Police Department The Weekend Highlights Friday, June 24th, 2022

Two Collegedale fugitives were booked on their warrants. 

A local company reported a lost license plate from one of their vehicles. 

The owner of a West District restaurant reported that a U-Haul truck had backed into a storage container in their lot and had left the scene. 

Officers responded to a hold up alarm at a West District bank. Upon their arrival the activation was found to have been accidentally activated by children playing under a table. 

A West District resident reported that they had received a scam phone call from China. 

A traffic stop in the 9900 block of Lee Highway due to dark license plate cover led to an occupant being charged with simple possession of illegal narcotics. 

A traffic stop in the 5600 block of Little Debbie Parkway led to the driver being charged with driving on a suspended license. 

A traffic stop in the 9600 block of Apison Pike led to an occupant’s arrest for violating an order of protection, as they were in the vehicle with the protected party. 

Officers made contact with three individuals that had been going into area Walmarts and stealing fishing reels and other items while they were attempting to steal more property at the Collegedale Walmart. All three were arrested on their outstanding Collegedale theft warrants and booked on new theft charges as well. 

Police assisted a motorist whose wheel had come off their car at Four Corners. The wheel was fixed and the motorist continued on their way. 

Saturday, June 25th, 2022

Collegedale police assisted Chattanooga police after receiving further information of an alleged abduction that had occurred in their jurisdiction the previous night. 

Officers were called to assist with an individual having a mental health episode in their East District home. 

Police were called to the 5600 block of Landrum Drive for reports of vehicles blocking the road. The area was checked and all cars were parked legally. 

Officers were called to assist with an individual having a mental health episode in their West District home.

Police were called to the 5600 block of Landrum Drive again for reports of vehicles blocking the road. The area was checked again and all cars were still parked legally. 

A traffic stop in the 8700 block of Old Lee Highway led to the driver’s arrest for DUI, possession of illegal narcotics, and driving on a revoked license. 

Officers responded to reports of improperly parked vehicles at Spring Hill Suites. The parking lot was full due to a banquet that had ended that evening. There were no improperly parked vehicles.

A traffic stop in the 5200 block of Little Debbie Parkway led to the driver’s arrest for DUI, violation of implied consent, possession of an open container, and failure to maintain their lane. 

Collegedale police were dispatched to a crash in the 10500 block of Lee Highway, near the Bradley County line. Upon their arrival, officers found the crash inside Bradley County. 

Collegedale police assisted Murray County, Georgia with a missing juvenile investigation by checking an area in the East District for the suspect and missing individual. Nothing was located. Shortly after, Murray County Sheriff’s Office notified Collegedale that the missing child had been safely located. 

Sunday, June 26th, 2022

Officers responded to a disorder between neighbors at the College Park apartments. Both neighbors agreed to separate peacefully. 

EMS transported an elderly patient from the nursing home to the hospital. 

A traffic stop in the 9300 block of Lee Highway led to the driver’s arrest for DUI-2nd offense. 

EMS transported a West District resident to the hospital after they had cut their leg.
