Collegedale Police Department Daily Report Wednesday, June 15th, 2022

An East District resident reported damage to their vehicle that had occurred a few days prior.

A traffic stop in the 5600 block of Little Debbie Parkway led to the driver being charged with driving on a suspended license.

A concerned citizen called police out of an abundance of caution after finding that the Dollar Tree had a temporarily closed sign and an individual, not wearing a Dollar Tree uniform, removing items off a shelf. Everything checked out ok.

A parent reported that their teenage child was being harassed by a schoolmate.

A harassment report was filed at city hall.

An East District resident requested advice on how to handle an online scammer that had been sending them emails.

A West District business alarm was activated. The business was checked and found secure.

A minor parking lot crash at the Walmart was reported.

A West District residential alarm was activated. It was found to have been an accidental activation.

Walmart reported a couple of thefts.

Officers assisted an individual having a mental health crisis at a West District church. Officers were able to get them to the help they needed.

A resident of a West District apartment complex reported that a group of people in the pool area after hours was making a lot of noise. Officers made contact with the group, who agreed to leave the area and return to their homes.

Officers answered a missing person call at Southern Adventist University. The individual was located at their sibling’s home in the city’s West District.

A resident of a West District apartment complex reported that a group of people were playing ping pong outside their apartment and making a lot of noise. Officers responded and found no one in the area.

Police were called to the Walmart for a shoplifter. The alleged shoplifter attempted to flee police on foot, running through the Arby’s parking lot, however they were quickly caught. A check for warrants revealed that they had warrants out of Bradley County. The individual was charged with the theft, evading police, possession of drugs and paraphernalia, criminal impersonation and identity theft.
