Collegedale Police Department Daily Report Wednesday, June 1st, 2022

Officers were requested to check the well-being of a homeless individual who appeared to be in distress in the 4900 block of Swinyar Drive. Everything checked out ok.

EMS responded to a child having a seizure in the South District.

An officer checked on an individual who appeared to be lost and confused while wandering around a parking lot on Reagan Lane, in the city’s West District. Everything checked out ok.

A concerned citizen requested police to respond to the 10000 block of Apison Pike for a road hazard involving gravel in the roadway. An officer responded to the area, currently under roadway construction, and observed only a small amount of gravel; not enough to obstruct the vehicle traffic.

Police were dispatched to the 4000 block of Prospect Church Road to check on a reportedly suspicious person that was walking down the road. Contact was made with the individual who advised that they were just looking for their ride to pick them up.

An individual in the East District reported that their identity had been stolen after discovering some online purchases on his account that he had not made.

A landscaping crew in the 4900 block of College Drive East called police after discovering what they assumed was an abandoned or injured deer. An officer arrived and the deer ran off into the woods with no signs of injury or distress

Walmart reported a theft.

Four Collegedale fugitives were booked on their warrants.

A two vehicle crash was reported in the 5000 block of Ooltewah Ringgold Road.

Police assisted a motorist in the 9200 block of Lee Highway who was having car trouble.

A two vehicle crash was reported in the 9400 block of Apison Pike. One of the drivers was also charged with being in possession of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

EMS transported an elderly patient having abdominal pain from a West District clinic to the hospital.

Officers were requested to follow up with a possible harassment report made by a West District apartment resident regarding a neighbor that had been knocking on their door a few days ago.

Officers were dispatched twice to the pool at the Hawthorne at the Summit apartment complex regarding loud and intoxicated individuals. Both times no one was at the pool, however, officers were able to locate the individuals in question in their apartment and they agreed to call it a night and remain in their home.

While conducting nightly neighborhood patrols in the South District officers located a car parked at a residence with its door and back hatch left open. Contact was made with the owner who advised that they were airing out their car.

While continuing to conduct nightly neighborhood patrols officers located an open front door of a South District apartment on the campus of Southern Adventist University. Officers checked the apartment, which was empty, and contacted the university’s campus safety department.
