Southern Adventist University enrolls 2,531 undergrads

At Southern Adventist University, 89 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Collegedale enrolled 2,942 students in fall 2018, including 2,531 in undergraduate and 411 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

21 percent of undergraduates are residents of Tennessee, and 73 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (42 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (24 percent).
