Scarlett Nash led the Chattanooga Mocs with a second-place finish in the 1500 meter run at the Josh Reidinger Outdoor Track and Field Invitational, hosted by Samford on April 24. Nash was one of nine Chattanooga runners to place in the Top 10 and among four who achieved personal bests during the event.

The invitational saw strong performances from several team members. In addition to Nash’s result in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:48.43, Anna Roberson finished fifth and also set a personal record at 4:57.85. Aubrey Park (5:01.75), Olivia Steele (5:03.05, PR), Lola Baker (5:04.84), Kennedy Reynolds (5:14.17, season best), and Lauren Bayes (5:42.78) rounded out Chattanooga’s presence in that race.

In other events, Maya McCloskey took fifth place in the 800 meter run with a personal best time of 2:20.94, while EV McGowan placed fifth in the 3000 meter steeplechase at 12:09—just shy of her own personal record.

The Mocs are scheduled to compete next weekend at the Outdoor Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt University in Nashville as they close out their season.
