U.S. Representative Chuck Fleischmann, serving Tennessee’s 3rd District and Chairman of Energy and Water Appropriations, has issued a statement following the U.S. House of Representatives’ approval of H.R. 1, known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. This legislation is aimed at advancing President Trump’s America First Agenda.

In his statement, Congressman Fleischmann expressed his support for the bill, saying, “Today, I proudly voted YES on House Republicans’ One Big Beautiful Bill Act that delivers President Trump’s America First Agenda.” He emphasized that the bill aims to reduce taxes permanently for East Tennesseans, enhance border security, promote fiscal responsibility, strengthen benefits for Americans, bolster military strength to ensure peace through power, and boost American energy production.

As Chairman of Energy and Water Appropriations, Fleischmann highlighted the bill’s focus on advanced nuclear reactors. He noted this aspect as evidence of President Trump’s ongoing commitment to collaborate with him in creating “America’s New Nuclear Future.”

Fleischmann further stated that both Tennesseans and Americans across the nation sought significant change in Washington. According to him, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act represents this transformative change. He concluded by thanking President Trump and his colleagues for their efforts on the bill and urged the Senate to pass it promptly to fulfill what he describes as the demands of the American people.
