Chattanooga Mocs to compete in Outdoor Music City Challenge at Vanderbilt

The Chattanooga Mocs will close out their regular season at the Outdoor Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt, according to an April 30 announcement.

This event marks the final opportunity for the team to compete before postseason meets. Field events begin Friday morning with Norah Haney participating in the javelin throw at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time and later competing in the long jump at 3:00 p.m.

Track events start Friday evening, featuring Scarlett Nash and Emma Thweatt in the 3000 meter race. The 200 meter sprint will include Ryleigh Simmons, Aalvinee Torrance, and Kolbee Webb. Later, Leah Boyd Mitchell, Maddie Wheatcroft, and Bella King are scheduled for the 1500 meter run. The day concludes with Lola Baker, Andrea Ellis, and Aubrey Park running in the 5000 meter event.

Saturday’s schedule opens with Halle Carden competing in both high jump and triple jump events. Shorter distance races are also planned for Saturday; Kolbee Webb and Ava McGue will run the 400 meters while Simmons and Torrance take part in the 100 meters. The meet wraps up with Wheatcroft, Taylor Crawford, and Maya McCloskey running in the 800 meters.
