The Chattanooga Mocs men’s tennis program announced on April 28 the signing of Alejandro Conde, a prospect from Mount Juliet, Tennessee, to join its roster for the 2026-27 season.

Conde will enter as a true freshman in fall 2026 and will be immediately eligible to compete. His addition is expected to strengthen the team’s lineup as he brings experience and recognition from his high school career.

According to the announcement, Conde attended Wilson Central High School in middle Tennessee. He has been recognized as a four-star prospect by Tennis Recruiting Network and reached No. 95 in the national rankings for the class of 2026. In December 2025, he achieved his highest ranking at No. 94. Among graduating seniors in Tennessee, only five—including Conde—hold a four-star or higher rating this year.

During his high school tenure, Conde helped Wilson Central capture the Modern Woodmen Invitational doubles title in March and recently competed closely against the reigning TSSAA Class AA state champion in singles play. He is aiming for a state title later this spring.

Conde also made it to the quarterfinals at the UTR Sports College Circuit event held at Tennessee in Athens last October, defeating another nationally ranked player before narrowly losing to a top-50 prospect. He chose Chattanooga over other Division I programs including Belmont and Lipscomb within Tennessee.

Looking ahead, Conde joins another Volunteer State native on next year’s roster as Chattanooga prepares for future competitions.
