The Chattanooga Mocs announced on Mar. 10 their outdoor track and field schedule for the 2026 season, following a successful indoor campaign.
The schedule begins with the Lee University Invitational in Cleveland, Tennessee, on March 20-21. This event is described as an early-season test that regularly features strong competition. The next weekend, March 27-28, the team will split squads between Emory’s Thrills in the Hills Open in Atlanta and the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State University in Raleigh.
After a week off, Chattanooga returns to Cleveland for the Lee University – Fast Break Invitational on April 10-11. The following weekend includes participation in the Georgia Tech Invite in Atlanta. At the end of April, athletes will compete at the Josh Reidinger Classic in Birmingham.
In May, the team travels to Nashville for the Outdoor Music City Challenge before preparing for the Southern Conference Championships hosted by Western Carolina in Cullowhee on May 11-12. The program aims to build on progress from both experienced leaders and emerging underclassmen as they pursue podium finishes and personal bests during conference competition. Ryleigh Simmons, Chattanooga’s only 100-meter conference champion, is set to return and defend her title.
