The Chattanooga Beach Volleyball team will begin its postseason on April 23 in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Tournament at UT Martin. The Sandy Mocs are aiming for their third consecutive OVC Tournament Championship after an undefeated conference season.

This tournament is important as Chattanooga, which finished with a perfect 10-0 record in conference play and secured the OVC Regular Season Championship, enters as the top seed among six teams. The double-elimination event starts with Chattanooga facing the winner of Morehead State versus Eastern Illinois. All matches will be broadcast on ESPN+, and live statistics are available through the team’s athletics website.

The schedule includes opening matches on Thursday, followed by elimination rounds on Friday and Saturday, culminating in a championship match scheduled for Saturday afternoon. Fans are encouraged to monitor social media channels for updates related to weather or scheduling changes during the tournament.

Historically, Chattanooga holds a 9-6 all-time record in the OVC Tournament and has won back-to-back championships, including last year’s title at home. In both previous tournaments, they went undefeated with three wins each time to secure the trophy.

Entering this postseason, Chattanooga boasts a 21-4 overall record and outscored league opponents by a wide margin during regular play. All ten starters received All-OVC honors this year. The team also features three pairs who remained unbeaten throughout conference competition.

The Sandy Mocs’ most straightforward route to another championship would be winning their first two matches; otherwise, they face a more challenging path through additional rounds.
